House of the Dragon – the much-awaited prequel of HBO’s Game of the Thrones came this August, 2022.
The series, which is based in part on the book Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin, is set roughly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and 172 years before Daenerys Targaryen is born. It depicts the start of House Targaryen’s demise as well as the events leading up to and encompassing the Targaryen war of succession, also known as the “Dance of the Dragons.”
